I had been meaning to do research and write something about Barton Springs. When people come in from out of town, I suggest going there. It’s best during the Summer to take a break from the brutal heat. But you can go all year and still enjoy it.

Last year, I found this article on kut.org about the new bathhouse. It eventually inspired me to research a bit into the history of pool and how it was segregated -a piece of history that is not widely known.

When I shared early versions of this comic, some long-time Austin residents and friends expressed a bit of shock on this history.
